As Sales and Marketing Lead, you will be responsible for delivering the overall sales and customer service function for our global Run in the Dark events to help achieve our annual sales and fundraising targets.
Equally, you will drive sales for Mark Pollock’s international thought leadership business so that we grow revenue from keynotes, masterclasses and courses.
As part of our cross functional team, you will ideate, scope and execute scalable marketing and sales programmes to engage corporate and public clients. Ultimately, your aim will be to use multiple online and offline channels to drive revenue for the business.
Role Responsibilities
Co-create the growth marketing and sales strategy for Run in the Dark global 5 and 10k events as well as Mark Pollock’s international thought leadership business.
Implement growth marketing and sales plans to drive entries, donations and fundraising at Run in the Dark, and to drive revenue from keynotes, masterclasses and courses.
Execute outbound sales to reach sales targets for Run in the Dark and the thought leadership business.
Consistently follow-up with potential and past clients and ensure that all client interactions meet the organisation’s standards so that sales and reputation are maximised.
Methodically update Salesforce with details of all interactions with contacts to provide context for future sales and marketing interactions.
Project manage sales and marketing projects for Run in the Dark and Mark Pollock’s thought leadership business, as directed by the CEO.
Use a problem-solving mindset to research and review potential blockers and opportunities and analysis data to drive decisions about next steps.
Identify problems, dig deep into them, break them down, understand them and come up with creative solutions to ensure revenue objectives are reached.

Candidate Requirements
Relevant third level qualification and/or degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Psychology, Sales or related subjects.
Experience working in a sales or account management function; managing leads, clients, and retaining customers.
Self-starter with an entrepreneurial and growth mindset
Excellent project management skills, and ability to think creatively to come up with solutions
Driven, analytical and results orientated
Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional growth teams
Outstanding attention to detail and understanding of project management.
Ability to engage and persuade internally and externally, in both written and verbal communication.
Track record of prioritising workload and delivering individual targets while contributing to team effectiveness.
Based in Dublin, this role will be initially remote until offices reopen. Candidates must be available to attend work in Dublin once restrictions are eased.
