The Event:

Date: Wednesday November 15th

Time: 8 a.m. start (7.45 a.m. arrival)

The Inchmarlo Community are very proud to be involved in the Run in the Dark, not only as Mark Pollock went to Inchmarlo but also many of the parents know Mark well and many more are running in the main event at Stormont later that day.

This early morning run at the school is only open to boys currently attending Inchmarlo but we welcome parents and siblings to come and support the boys in this challenge.

The run will take place in the school grounds and boys can choose on the day to run up to 2km (each lap is 0.5km and boys can run 1, 2, 3 or 4 laps).

Please aim to arrive at 7.45 a.m. so that we can ensure the boys will receive their flashing armband and have time to warm up before they go running!

Your FAQs answered:

The cost of entering this event is £10, with all monies raised supporting the Mark Pollock Trust mission to find and connect people worldwide to fast-track a cure for paralysis. Each boy entering will receive a run entry and a flashing armband.

Specially designed t-shirts are available to wear at the event if required (if last year's t-shirt fits, the IPA are encouraging boys to wear it!).

If a t-shirt is required boys must sign up before Thursday 19th of October.

We will also be sending out sponsorship forms to give the boys the opportunity to raise money themselves.

We will provide the boys with water and after the run we will replenish lost energy with pastries and fruit.

A parent may run with their son but supporting along the route is just as acceptable!
