Event: 8k & 4k Hong Kong Run in the Dark
Date: Wednesday 13th November
As darkness sweeps around the globe in mid-November, 25,000 people in 50 cities worldwide will get up from their armchairs, slip on their red flashing armbands and pull on their running shoes to complete a 5k or 10k.
Together, from Sydney to San Francisco, they will light up the night as they hit the road to Run in the Dark, the Mark Pollock Trust’s principal fundraising event.
Join hundreds of fellow runners in Hong Kong to Run in the Dark on 13th November 2019.
You can choose between running 4k or 8k… and if your running shoes are a little dusty, you can even walk the 4k route.
Through Run in the Dark, Mark Pollock aims to inspire people to build resilience and collaborate with others so that, together, they achieve more than they thought possible. For some that means gathering a group of friends or colleagues to train hard and get fit. For others it means building a team of experts to perform better. For us, at the Mark Pollock Trust, it means supporting Mark to deal with the ongoing physical, psychological and financial impact of his catastrophic spinal cord injury, while also allowing him to pursue his personal mission to cure paralysis in our lifetime (Click here to learn more about Mark’s mission).
There are a limited number of places available so make sure to sign up early so you don’t miss out!
Hong Kong is very proud to once again be involved in Run In The Dark and this year’s pop-up run will be championed by Rory Hunter.

Hong Kong Route
The Hong Kong Run In The Dark will be on Hong Kong Island’s most famous running routes the Bowen Road.
The 4km or 8km route will be a 4km end to end run of flat country like road with stunning views of the Hong Kong skyline up close and elevated. The direction is 4km from Magazine Gap Road end through to Stubbs Road and back for those running 8km. Running this course at night will only make for a more spectacular run as the route is lit up by the Hong Kong skyline.
The meeting point is here: http://bit.ly/2zEZ9wa
Green minibus 9 for the Magazine Gap Road end; buses 6, 15, 66, 76, 19, 41A or 63 — or green minibus 5, 2 or 24M — for the Stubbs Road end; or walk up Wan Chai Gap Road.
Whether you are completing the 4km run or 8km run, please aim to arrive at 19.20 (7.20pm) so that we can ensure everyone will receive their flashing armband and buff and have a group photo before we go running!
