Our recommendations for a successful social media post?

  1. Tell people what you’re up to.  Give people a simple update. It doesn’t have to be a long-winded masterpiece, Facebook exists so you can tell people what you’re doing, we suggest you do just that. E.g. “Doing a 5k in the dark…”
  2. Tell them why you’re doing it. Include one line about the cause you’re running for, so people understand your motivations and know where their money is going. E.g. “Doing a 5k in the dark to help fast-track a cure for paralysis.”
  3. Include the link. OK, this is an obvious one, but it’s one that we recommend nonetheless!
  4. Show them some of the action. A good image is the best way to get people to stop scrolling. There are dozens of excellent photos here that we are more than happy for you to steal. Or you can use one of the social media graphics above.
